    Thank you for visiting my website.  This is a compilation of all my favorite paintings, drawings and photographs from 2011 to the present.

    I  like rendering the living world through drawings on paper with such a universal medium as water and paint.  The motion of free flowing water is continually my inspiration.  I seek to become closer to it by mimicking its rhythms in life.  Nature has its own process of creating.  I'm deeply intrigued by it's order and proportion, how it's all so infinitely varied and self-similar at the same time.

      With a transparent medium I can filter the light reflected from the paper beneath  and arrange colors with water to make illusions of form and space.   When the water dries it leaves a record of the  creative process.  This has been primarily the process and inspirations I have enjoyed for most of my life as an artist.  my greatest passion is loading up my backpack with paint and paper and living with the elements and painting the world outside our doors.  The world outside is where I can truly get to know and feel the movement of life and record its energy.  I like to get out there as much as possible, strip down my experiences to just the feeling of being outside and in the world where life comes together.
